Verticals: Women Entrepreneurship & Business Development

The role of women is an important aspect of the overall development of the nation. Indian society has developed through various stages of economic development with the changing role of women in the development activities, especially the social and economic activities for the overall development of the nation. Women's empowerment through various developmental schemes has remained the focus of the Central and State governments along with various Agencies working for the upliftment of women.

Entrepreneurship Development for women plays an important role in ensuring the empowerment of women, especially through the convergence of various schemes to focus on the overall development of women in the social and economic sectors. The MAHAPREIT proposes to undertake various activities in coordination with the MPBCDC and other government organizations in the areas of awareness, wage, and self-employment generation based on the available natural resources in rural areas to promote location-specific development models.

The MAHAPREIT is working for the welfare of Schedule Caste communities by providing self-employment opportunities, especially for the women and low-income category of people in both rural and urban areas. The Vertical- Women Empowerment and Convergence has been created by the MAHAPREIT to focus on the development of entrepreneurship among women through the convergence of various schemes of the Government and other Agencies from different sectors of the economy. Women can play a significant role in the development of the Indian economy to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals at the international level decided by the United Nations Organizations.
